പൈതൃകം

  പൈതൃകം - ലോകത്തിലെ പ്രാചീന നാഗരിക സംസ്കാരങ്ങളെപ്പറ്റി പ്രതിപാദിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ചരിത്ര വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ പരിപാടിയാണ് 'പൈതൃകം'. മനുഷ്യന്‍ ജീവിച്ചിരുന്ന പാര്‍പ്പിടങ്ങള്‍, ഉപജീവനം, ജീവിതശൈലി എന്നിവയെല്ലാം മാറ്റങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് വിധേയമായിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.  ഈ മാറ്റങ്ങളും സാമൂഹിക രൂപീകരണവുമാണ് അവനെ നാഗരികതയിലേക്ക് നയിച്ച പ്രധാന കാരണം. വികസനത്തിനായുള്ള മനുഷ്യന്റെ ആദ്യകാല ചുവടുവെയ്‍പുകളിലൂടെയാണ് 'പൈതൃകം' സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നത്. പ്രാചീന മെസപ്പൊട്ടോമിയ, ഈജിപ്റ്റ്, സിന്ധൂനദീതട സംസ്കാരം, അമേരിക്കന്‍ സംസ്കാരങ്ങള്‍ തുടങ്ങി ലോക സാംസ്കാരികതകളുടെ നട്ടെല്ലായി നിലകൊള്ളുന്ന അതിപുരാതന നാഗരികതകളെയാണ് ഈ പരിപാടി പരിചയപ്പെടുത്തുന്നത്.
